There
are three types of dandruff!
|
Good
bad and ugly dandruff:
It
is very important to know that many
of us will be facing the problems of
dandruff in winters.
One
of the most misread topics in hair is Dandruff.
There are three kinds of dandruff.
a.
Good dandruff
b.
Bad dandruff
c.
And the ugly dandruff.
Good
dandruff:
This dandruff is dryness
of the scalp that happens in winter season, last for a couple of weeks
and then goes away on its own. It never involves any hair loss or scalp damage
and for that reason become certified as the 'good dandruff'.
Bad
dandruff: This dandruff is
fungal infection of the scalp. Here the
dandruff flakes are harsher, which results in more itching and irritation
of the scalp. This
may also lead to some hair loss,
but when properly attended, reacts well to the treatment. Good medication
can improve hair loss resulting out of it.
The
ugly dandruff:
These are scalp conditions like psoriasis. When we face this type of
problem large flakes on the scalp, like pieces of skin occurs and this condition
can aggravate noticeably and spread to all over the body. This leads to lot of
distress to the person.
For that reason this dandruff is called as the ugly dandruff.
These
different types of dandruff are scaled
with respect to one another on a scale. So dryness is the first stage,
and psoriasis is at the end of the scale. Dandruff
condition thus starts as dryness and progressively deteriorate ending
up as psoriasis. So when dandruff starts,
wait for
1-2 months, and if
it does not go away
in that time, or if you notice relentless hair fall along with
dandruff, then seek medical help.
